METHODS OF PAYMENT
Your therapist requires payment at the time of each session. Credit card details are collected during intake to secure the initial appointment, and if a credit card is unavailable, alternative payment arrangements must be made prior to the first session (e.g., cash, credit, or a check held on account).
A $25.00 fee will be assessed for each check returned due to insufficient funds (NSF), requiring an alternate payment method (cash or credit card).
E-Transfers must be sent 12–24 hours before an appointment to ensure timely processing and linkage to your account for billing at the time of the appointment. The email containing your booking details will specify the account for E-Transfers. If your account remains in arrears for more than 90 days, Innharmony reserves the right to place it in collections, with the client responsible for all associated collection charges.
We accept insurance, e-transfer, cheque, and PayPal as payment methods.
Receipts are provided for reimbursement through most insurance plans.
Let's discuss payment options before your first session to ensure a smooth process.
FEE COVERAGE
Private health insurance plans may cover some or all of the fees. Additionally, fees may be tax deductible under medical expenses on your income tax return. Direct billing to select Employee Assistance Programs is also an available option.
BILLABLE TIME
Billable time in counselling refers to the portion of a counselling session or service for which the therapist can charge the client or a third-party payer, such as an insurance company. This typically includes the time directly engaged in providing therapeutic services, such as conducting assessments, delivering counselling sessions, and documenting client progress. Activities not related to therapy provision, such as administrative tasks or non-clinical phone calls, are not considered billable time.
CANCELLATION or NO SHOW OF APPOINTMENTS
Cancellation or no-show of appointments refers to the act of cancelling a scheduled counselling session with insufficient notice, typically less than the agreed-upon timeframe, or failing to attend the session altogether without providing any prior notice. This may result in fees or penalties, and it impacts the scheduling and availability of the counsellor's time.
To Cancel: We require at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to cancel 48 hours in advance or failure to attend will attract a full fee charge.
